"With the warmth of embers in my face, a black night around me and a star-pierced sky above, I feel transposed to an ancestor in a primitive age. This I think is my normal way of life; all else has been a dream." |

Mountainpipes ™ "My wife Jodi and I started our business back in 1971; we have traveled the 4 western states selling our crafts and craft supplies at powwows, rendezvous, rock & gem shows and craft events. Some years back I developed Carpal Tunnel, this changed my direction from carving to teaching. I started putting together simple carving kits to sell at the powwows. Grinding Rock "chaw-se" State Park saw my kits and asked me if I could put together a kit for them for their museum gift shop. The following year while attending a Native American gathering in Yosemite National Park I was asked to put a kit together for their museum gift store, my carving kits are now one of the best selling items at the Museum stores. My carving kits are also sold at the California State Indian Museum in Sacramento. Soapstone was found throughout California and was used by all the tribes."
